How to use a anti static wrist band?
I will be building a brand new PC soon, and wondering how would I use the anti static wrist band?
Do I clip it to my PC case and does the PC case need to be plugged in?
I ask this because at first when I work with the motherboard the PC case will not be plugged in yet.
My anti static wristband can be plugged into the third prong of a grounded outlet, the hole in the center-top. That is the ultimate best way to do it. You can also clip to your computer case on your free hand, plug the case in for ground but don't power it up. Then your unstrapped hand is free to work on the motherboard on your other side.
