What are the multi colored dot on most packages?
Hi, Ive looked at several packages this morning and noticed most have a row of various colored dots. They are on everything from butter, to toilet paper packages.I can't find anything about it on google or any where else. I'm just really curious. Does any one know?
it has something to do with the printing process of the packages. One package may contain 20 different colors of ink. But you see only 7 or 8 colors. the rest are mixed in the printing process to get the colors you see. like painting yellow with blue and getting green. If the computer eye that scans the printing as it comes off at high speed does not SEE the proper color of dots or lines it shuts down til the ink is fixed.
