My circular saw blade will catch on the wood and stop spinning. Can this be fixed or should I buy a new one?
I tried replacing the blade but the problem persists. The saw motor continues to rev but the blade stops. The saw is over 15 years old, but I don't use it a lot so it is in good shape otherwise.
It could be a number of things, as one said the blade could be on wrong or not tight enough.....Also could be the wood binding the blade.....But to me it does sound like the blade is not on right.....Take the blade off and see if the arbor is a star shape or round shape.......Then look at the blade, does it match??? If not that's the problem.....
