Is it better to ask a dad rather than to ask a mom?
I read those Baby Blues comics, and the comic occasionally features something called "ASK A MOM ASK A DAD", and it always shows that the dad is better to ask to than a mom?
For example:
Ask the question "Can I have a snack?"
The mom might respond "No. Dinner is in 15 mins."
However, the dad might respond "Sure. Dinner isn't for 15 mins."
Another example:
Ask "Can I have a screwdriver?"
Mom response: "What do you need it for?"
Dad response: "Slotted, Phillips, Torx, or Hex?"
Ask "Where do birds go in the winter?"
Mom response: "Great question. Let's go to the library to find out"
Dad response: "That way" (points to south).

Mums always get bad press but I'd rather have someone who actually cared what i did then give into me. I'm a mother myself and I only refuse my daughter things if I feel they are not in her best interests.
