Is Valentina Kozlova a well respected ballet coach? What is her reputation?
Does she have other succesful pupils besides Whitney Jensen?
Is she close with ABT?
I know who she is. She has an okay to good reputation, but there are so many better places in NYC to dance in my opinion. SAB, JKO (ABT), BAE, Manhattan Youth Ballet. They all have students that are in the best companies (obviously as 2 are feeder schools.) I understand she doesn't have live musical accompaniment in class and for me that is a game end-er.
Whitney is the only one I know of. Of course JKO is all ABT. Manhattan Youth Ballet is close with ABT. At least 4 or 5 dancers who have trained there are currently with ABT. Although SAB is a feeder for NYCB, I know several dancers from there who are dancing with ABT.
